Review the Nevado Toluca hike from Mexico City, with high-altitude lagoons, private transfers, guide quality, weather risks, and value tips.

“I would not reccomend this tour. From the moment my husband and I entered the vehicle with our guide (who was very kind), I was skeptical of the weather. However, I was emphatically reassured that the weather would hold up, that the rain would stop and that the fog would clear somewhat so we would be able to see the summit and the lagoon. When we arrived to the mountain, it was clearly still raining and the wind was blowing so hard it was rattling our vehicle. The fog was so dense you couldn't see anything below. We ended up leaving shortly afterwards and returning to our accomodation without completing…”

“I had an amazing time on my hiking tour to Monkey Mountain. Our guide was absolutely fantastic — not only was he knowledgeable about the local wildlife, plants, and history of the area, but he was also incredibly personable and made the hike fun and engaging from start to finish. I really appreciated how he took the time to help me practice my Spanish along the way — it made the experience even more meaningful! The trail was beautiful, and while it was a bit of a challenge at times, the reward at the top was so worth it. The view from the summit was absolutely breathtaking — one of…”

“This hike was very challenging but so worth the effort. WE walked through the water most of the hike. It wasn’t very long but the rocks made the trek slow. But that was more reason to slow down and enjoy the hike more. Our guide had lots of knowledge and plants and wildlife in the area. This was a terrific experience!!”
