“Definitely worth getting up at 2am for! The hike is a little bit strenuous, especially if you're inexperienced, but it's doable for most people - if you can climb 10 flights of stairs you can probably make it up. Be careful on the way down! The guide is helpful, as are the provided walking sticks. Unfortunately, whether you actually see the sunrise once you summit is up to luck and I wasn't lucky (it was very foggy, cloudy, and windy). “An excellent day trip. Mt Batur for sunrise was spectacular then off to the coffee plantation. Needed coffee after the hike.
